Louie is a man of adventures. This book is about Tue way he turned his life around and took his talents for advantage. He was a profdesional track athelete but not by choice. He was gifted and he loves to run. Before he ran in sports he used to steal tons of things but then his brother convinced him to run and now he ran for Harvard and many other things such as the Olympics. He refuses to quit now and he is on track to success
The twelve fingered boy is about this kid who is facing tons of challenges who just so happens to have six fingers on each hand. His name is Jack and he appears to would rather stay in Juvie than with his mom because in Juvie he says they at least feed you three times a day. Jack is strangely silent and vulnerable boy. So when he is assigned a cell mate the cell mate (which is Shreve) takes Jack as his wing man. Jack is strange not just because he has six fingers but also because he just might have super powers. He began to draw in all bullies in the cell to his attention. And that's where I stopped but he seems to be getting into some serious trouble.
Jackson had no problem starting at all until this kid Thomas came around which is a tall skinny 6'5 guy who already has a scholarship and everything. But he doesn't let that get in his way he keeps pushing and trying his hardest and he gets to start again in the last two games and is ten times better too so I think he owes a thank you to Thomas because not only did he challenge him but Thomas's scout was at one of the games and saw Jackson playing and Jackson basically stole Thomas's scholarship. And while Jackson was in his training to try to beat Thomas Jackson's dad kind of opened his eyes and started to do pretty much everything he could to help him and at the end of the book he stopped drinking.
So it turns out his name is Jackson and he has tons of family problems but the main one is that his dad is a major alcoholic. He's a senior in high school and basketball basically makes him almost forget about his dad and his family problems. Basketball was a way out of all the pain. He really wants to get a scholar ship and he is worried that he won't be starting and that will downgrade his chances of completing his goal.
This guy (he hasn't introduced himself yet) is a wanna be basketball player for his high school team. He is the average typical teenager with the same problems that you can relate to. He has these dreams about him scoring all these points and being the best f the best and his mom is kind of mean but she's only doing her job. Like I said you can relate to this if your a teenager. Great book if you like sports, specifically basketball.
